The UK roads youre most likely to receive a driving fine have been revealed and its really bad news if you live in Birmingham. Well, its bad news entirely, but especially if you park on a certain road near the citys centre.

Britains roads have never been busier, with an all-time high of 42 million people now holding a full driving licence, according to the Driving Instructors Association. And where there be cars, there also be Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) in their millions.

The most common reason for getting slapped with a PCN is for parking in the wrong place, but you can also receive one for other misdemeanours like driving in a bus lane, making an illegal turn or stopping in a yellow box junction.

In unbelievable news for driving-related statistic enthusiasts, NetVoucherCodes have analysed over 1.3 million PCNs from 200 councils and have ranked the most fined roads in the UK. Buckle up. In fact, please do because youll get a Fixed Penalty Notice if the police catch you without a seatbelt on.

Birminghams Corporation Street, which sounds like a botched soap show, is ranked the UKs most fined street. 100,985 PCNs were issued in 2025/2026 thats nearly 277 tickets every single day.

The second most fined street is the junction between Irvine Street and Mount Vernon in Liverpool, which has seen 74,708 PCNs issued in the 25/26 financial year and brought in 908,633 for the council. The newly installed camera-enforced bus lane on Mount Vernon Road, situated just after exiting Irvine Street towards the city centre, has done a lot of the legwork.

The first London borough to feature on the list is Camden, where Tottenham Court Road produced the highest number of PCNs (59,329) which earned 4,099,582 for the council. The explanation for the substantial PCN figures is that much of the thoroughfare is restricted to buses and cyclists between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Saturday.

Number four on the list is another London borough, Richmond-upon-Thames, with North Worple Way delivering 43,861 PCNs and raising 361,400 for the council. The primary cause for a PCN at this location stems from the camera-enforced traffic restriction implemented to cut through traffic in the vicinity.

In fifth place is the Junction 30 Off Slip With Junction 31 in Thurrock Borough, which saw a whopping 41,817 PCNs issued and raked in 115,377 for the council. At this location, drivers may find themselves slapped with PCNs due to a camera-enforced yellow box junction restriction.

The top ten list is rounded off by Corporation Street in Preston (39,267 PCNs), Oxford Street, Manchester (32,695 PCNs), Arundel Gate, Sheffield (31,543 PCNs), Oldfield Lane South, Ealing (31,252 PCNs) and High Street, Oxford (31,063).
