The motor epic is back and better than ever before as original stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker return as fugitive Dominic Toretto and FBI agent Brian OConnor.

Its been eight years since the first film took us inside the murky world of street racing and fast-paced heists.

And this time round, fans can expect even more thrills, spills and chases as sworn enemies Dominic and Brian team up to bring down a psycho drugs boss.

Lost star Michelle Rodriguez, 30, and actress Jordana Brewster, 28, provide the glamour as all four members of the original cast reunite, but its really all about the action.

Vin, 41 and 35-year-old Paul take centre stage in a high-octane underground race between Dominic and Brian, with the victor earning a place in a gang smuggling drugs across the border to Mexico.

Only then can they track down the drugs baron Brian to bring him to justice and Dom to get his revenge for the murder of someone close to him.

xXx star Vin skipped the previous two sequels but decided the time was right to revisit his character. And he admits a lot has changed since the 2001 film which shot him to stardom.

The hard man became a father for the first time a year ago and is now happier at home with his family than administering a beating on screen.

Becoming a dad has changed my life, he admits. Its changed my outlook.

You cant pull me away from my house as easily as you used to because Ive got a year-old daughter and its heaven. Im such a hands-on dad its not even funny.

I almost have to make sure I dont get too soft because Im more goo goo, ga ga now than grr!

But it takes a tough guy to be in a delivery room, which is where Hania Riley was born to model Paloma Jimenez, 25.

I didnt tell anybody about the birth, he says. I didnt want cameras around I wanted it to be as natural as possible.

The only person I told was Paul. And I said to him: Should I be in the delivery room?

He said: You know, dont do it you cant stomach it.

But its the best thing youll ever do in your life and with that confidence I marched into the delivery room and did everything but literally pull her out.

I cut the umbilical cord, he beams. I was more present than I could have ever dreamed of being but the bonding that allowed with my daughter is priceless.

Vin has starred in The Chronicles of Riddick series and played a family man in hit action comedy The Pacifier.

When we see Fast And Furious 4, we assume my character is going to be solely concerned with gears and engines and speed, he says.

But we realise that this is about a journey of life and redemption and sacrifice.

All of these themes were subtle but present in the first Fast And Furious and that helped flesh out its quality and integrity.

It feels deeper this time these characters had to grow up. The last time we filmed we were young punks, kids, and that was our style.

And of course there are some top-notch motors. And Vin is clearly in love with his gun-metal Chevelle. Yeah, he says. I just like driving!
