Reform MP Lee Anderson has received a barrage of abuse across the voting spectrum after doubling down on bizarre plans for the country's schools.

The bumbling MP revealed exclusively to the Daily Star that, should his and Nigel Farage's party get into power, he planned to force schoolchildren to sing the national anthem every morning while waving flags.

It was part of a wacky wider plan to force patriotism in the classrooms, which also included teaching children as young as FOUR about why they should be proud to be British.

But Brits have since piled on him, mocking Lee across more than 3,000 responses. One claimed the plans were "a bit North Korea" while another added school kids will hate you - everyone knows they hate a singing assembly.

One person dubbed Anderson a 'weapon' and said: "Signing the national anthem every day is the sort of thing that happens in dictatorships. I certainly wouldn't encourage it. You are a weapon, Mr Anderson."

The hilarious replies came in their droves on the social media platform X.

One wrote: "It would be f***ing boring mate and every kid in Britain would think you - personally - were a colossal piece of sh**".

Another wrote: I can tell you who wont like this Scousers, imagine the boos in the classroom, while someone else agreed, adding: Good luck getting the Welsh school kids involved.

Another simply added: Its just dumb Lee. Typical for you of course.

Others joked that the plan should go even further: Why stop at school? Bring it into the workplace. Every hour we should sing the national anthem. Have the anthem blasting out of speakers on every train. For those that drive, order every radio station to play it on loop 24/7. The anthem is the only thing we should sing or hear.

Another added they would like to see Lee lead the plans from the front: You first d***head, come on lets hear you. Post a video of you singing the full version. No notes, just you belting out a banger" while others compared the plans to dictatorships like Nazi Germany.
