Woman, 23, jets off to five-star holiday in Turkey - and she only had to pay 70p

A new campaign launched by Jet2Holidays allows players to bid for luxurious holidays at dreamy locations for unbelievably low prices and Caitlin Simm from Wigan is reaping the rewards

A very lucky travel lover paid the tiny sum of 70p for a five-star holiday to Turkey after winning a bet.

Caitlin Simm, a 23-year-old adventure-seeker from Greater Manchester, won a luxurious trip to the transcontinental country after securing a great price from Jet2Holidayss promising Bid for a Break campaign.

She bid 70p, and was the only person to submit that amount of money, which was, surprisingly, the lowest sum.

As a result of her daring personality, Caitlin gained a lavish seven-night stay for two adults and two children at the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa in Dalaman, a gorgeous coastal district in south-west Turkey.

I still cant believe I have bought a 5-star luxury break with Jet2holidays for just 70p, the lucky traveller told Manchester Evening News.

She added: I love going on holiday, but things have not been easy over the last few years, so this has come at the perfect time.

I randomly chose the bid and luck must have been on my side.

This will be our first family holiday, and we cannot wait.

We would like to thank Jet2holidays for giving us this opportunity, and Id urge everyone to get involved and place their bid because it could be you jetting off next!

In order to win the innovative competition, a participant has to place the lowest unique bid.

If a player happens to be the only user to bid that exact amount, and if that amount is the lowest, the competitor will earn the right to purchase the holiday for that same price.
