Ricky Hatton's 13-year-old daughter asked "why didn't you reach out about how you felt" at her father's enormous funeral on Friday.

The British boxing icon was found dead at his home aged just 46 on September 14. The dad-of-three was celebrated by friends, family and adoring fans at his funeral.

Thousands lined the streets of Manchester on Friday as Hatton was laid to rest, with the greats of the boxing world and celebrities like Wayne Rooney, Paddy McGuinness, Tyson Fury and Liam Gallagher among the mourners.

All three of Hatton's children, 12-year-old Fearne, 24-year-old Campbell, and 13-year-old Millie, delivered their tributes during the heart-breaking service, the Mirror reported.

In her speech, Millie said: "Why did you feel that way?" She asked, according to the Telegraph. "Why didn't you reach out about how you felt?".

Hatton had been open about his mental health struggles throughout the years since retiring from professional boxing. It appeared that he was conquering the fight with the retired boxer planning a comeback, but he was discovered dead at his residence last month.

"I can't help but think about how you will never walk me down the aisle, how you will never meet my children and your grandchildren, how you won't be here to see me leave school or even see me grow into an adult.

"I genuinely hope you don't ever think you have let me down, because I would never think that. I love and miss you unconditionally."

Hatton's manager Paul Speak said he had tickets to see Oasis with his daughters. The Britpop band had been a thread throughout his life, with Liam and Noel Gallagher even carrying his belts into the ring in Vegas in 2008.

The boxer's son Campbell said: "[I] looked up to my dad in every aspect of life. All of that was fuelled by the love I had and always will have for him.

"I can't explain how much I'm going to miss you dad. I can't believe we're not going to make any new memories together. But the ones I have I will treasure forever."

Speak believes that Hatton did not intend to do it. "If this was 10 years ago, it wouldn't have been as big a shock as it was. I've been with Ricky to the very highest mountains in boxing to the lowest chasm in life."
