Being a Royal likely involves all sorts of public interactions, but Prince William recently demonstrated the perfect response to a shout from a stranger. This week, Prince William was seen at Royal Ascot with his wife, Princess Kate, and a fantastic moment unfolded as they engaged with the crowd.
The moment was captured on Instagram by Kings Guard Tours, showing the Royal couple looking splendid as they sat in their carriage. However, when the conversation turned to football with the Prince, it sparked quite a discussion, leaving people utterly impressed by the future King's ability to mix with the crowd.
This isn't the first time the Prince has charmed the public either. A few weeks ago, he also responded brilliantly to another man who called him in the street.
Footage was shared with the caption: "Prince William delights crowds with his football banter ahead of Royal Ascot. The Prince and Princess of Wales looked magnificently elegant as they boarded the Ascot Landau carriage during the Royal Procession on the second day of Royal Ascot."
In the video, someone can be heard shouting "up the Villa", which ignited quite a conversation. This is perhaps because Prince William is a devoted and lifelong supporter of Aston Villa.
After someone shouts "up the villa", the Prince is seen laughing, and he responds: "I think people are saying that now. Are you?"
When the person indicates they're a supporter, William lifts his hand as though to signal it's welcome news. He then continues by saying: "Good season."
The clip has racked up more than 400,000 views since being posted, with viewers rushing to share their thoughts. They offered plenty of reactions.
One commented: "The crowds and Prince are amazing." Another chimed in: "They seem so lovely and down to earth. He's going to make a great King."
A third responded: "What a stunning couple! The Princess is a vision in yellow!" Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "Just just love these two. They will be the best King and Queen."
Someone else also observed: "This is just gorgeous! The laughter and love they radiate! Our future King and Queen!"
Many felt both William and Kate seemed to be "so lovely", and they enjoyed seeing them interact with the crowd. It proved a fantastic moment for the Royals.
The clip emerges as Royal Ascot carries on this week. The yearly horse racing spectacle kicked off on Tuesday, and will run through until Saturday.
The occasion takes place at the Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, UK. Reports suggest Royal Ascot attracts over 250,000 visitors throughout its five-day festival in June, making it one of the largest and most popular sporting events in the entire nation.
King Charles and Queen Camilla have also been present at the event this week. Zara and Mike Tindall were also seen with the Royals previously as well.
