Daily Star's WWE Royal Rumble predictions from shock returns to outsider bets

The Daily Star's team of crack wrestling experts have got together to battle it out and mark their predictions for WWE's most unpredictable event of the year, the Royal Rumble

Wrestling fans are just days away from the most thrilling and unpredictable event in the WWE calendar the 2025 Royal Rumble.

For those who don't remember what the Royal Rumble is, or have never seen it before, the event is headlined by two Royal Rumble matches where 30 men or women as there are now two separate rumbles battle it out in an over-the-top rope battle royal.

A new competitor enters every 90 seconds and the last one standing at the end wins, with losers being eliminated by being thrown over the top and both feet hitting the floor.

This year's men's even is already star-studded with John Cena, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Logan Paul and even CM Punk confirming their entry, while the women's event will feature the likes of Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and a returning Charlotte Flair.

And the Daily Star's crack team of wrestling fans and assistant editor Kelly Williams who has no idea what a suplex is, never mind who CM Punk is have made their guesses at who will win the big battles.

We are entering the Netflix era of WWE well and truly. Or what I think it will be is the era of influence. Since being on the major streaming, we see every celeb in attendance and influencers galore, including Kai Cenat who appeared on RAW this week with his very own entrance. Not that i like the sound of it, but can see them looking to get on the hype that his brother Jake Paul had with Mike Tyson and have Logan headline one of the two nights at WrestleMania. Him winning the rumble would also make him the most hated man in professional wrestling.

Or it could be David Arquette 2.0. Although to be fair to Logan, he has given up his time to perform well in the ring. iShowSpeed is livestreaming the whole event and WWE has advertised this a lot, which is why i think they will give him a rumble slot.

Bayley has to win this year. Was runner-up last year and is always one of those up there to win it. Just think it is her time and for the fact she has been pushed around the brands in the lead-up, including being on NXT. I would say Jordynne Grace would be a shock entry but with her now confirmed with WWE, it's more expected she will be in the rumble and will make a big impact. There have been rumours that Alexa Bliss is coming back soon and no better way than for her to get a pop at the rumble. There was reports she was joining The Wyatt Sicks been those plans have allegedly been scrapped due to rumoured injury to one of the members, which is why the group is currently off TV.
