Donald Trump's achievements and demeanor in the Oval Office have been compared to the biggest public meltdown in Hollywood history. Charlie Sheen's life and his highest paid actor role in US sitcom Two and a Half Men came crashing down in 2011.
Excessive drug use led the star to do some very ill-advised TV interviews that spawned some of the most quoted lines of the noughties. The former A-lister infamously said he had "tiger blood", "I'm a rock star from Mars" and "dying is for fools".
In another gem while speaking about his drug use, he said: "It was epic, the run I was on made Sinatra, Jagger, Richards all of them look like droopy-eyed armless children." He also said he wasn't Bipolar but "Bi-winning, I win here and I win there" and that he "cured his brain [of addiction] by blinking".
The meltdown is now being compared to the Orange Manbaby's so-called achievements as US President. One social media user said: "Trump's winning is definitely a Charlie Sheen kinda winning."
Another said: "DOW plummets over 500 points again today.... winning, just like Charlie Sheen when he did enough coke to kill 2 1/2 men. Trump needs to go."
A third said: "This presidency IS reminding me of a Loooong Charlie Sheen Cocaine fuelled Winning era interview. Trump wishes he had Tiger blood."
While a fourth astute political observer said: "I think everyone misunderstood what he meant by winning. We all assumed he meant winning like a Brady led patriots dynasty.
"Apparently Trump meant Charlie Sheen style winning around that time he was blowing coke and drinking tiger blood while imploding his career."
The comparisons go beyond internet politicos all the way to Charlie's Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer, who played Charlie's long-suffering brother Alan on the show. He told the Real back in 2016: "People like that he (Trump) is willing to say whatever foolishness comes to the top of his head.
"I don't want people to pick the president based on entertainment value because I saw someone spectacularly flame out and ruin everything that was good in their lives.
"I don't want someone else to ruin everybody else's lives by coming to power that way."
