An ex-CNN news anchor has claimed she turned down a night with a former world leader in order to 'protect her magic' despite the fact she 'loves sex'.
Writing on internet blogging site Substack, award winning documentarian and journalist Brooke Baldwin explained that she had met the bloke, who reportedly "used to run a country", on an online dating site, along with three other eligible bachelors.
Baldwin, 47, wrote: "I recently found myself with the opportunity to sleep with four different men. One literally flew in just to take me to dinner. One used to run a country. One is just... hot." However, Baldwin on this occasion decided to pass on the offers, despite initially feeling "flattered".
She wrote: "Bottom line? I am flattered... No. I'm not flattered. I'm unsurprised. There's the truth. What did I do? Turned them all down. Every. Single. One."
The journalist explained that, although she is extremely sex positive, she did not feel like having multiple partners was what she wanted at this point in her life, writing "I care too much about what I'm building to let my energy scatter in a dozen directions."
Despite rejecting the mysterious world leader along with her other string of suitors, Baldwin explained that her attitudes towards sex were still very much the same, telling her readers that it is something that she "loves" and comparing it to "oxygen".
Baldwin explained: "Y'all know... I love sex. If I may be so bold, I'm pretty damn good at it. . . So casual sex? It's very much on the table. I've thought about it. A lot.
"It could be empowering. It would almost certainly be pleasurable. And I'm a grown-ass woman with choices."
Baldwin, who went through a divorce with British filmmaker James Fletcher in 2023, explained that passing up on these offers was not an act of "punishment" but rather a "protection of the life I'm trying to build."
Along with the divorce, Baldwin has also written about another more recent relationship that went sour in the past year.
She wrote: "Six months ago, I thought I was going to marry someone this year (and I was excited about it). Heartbreak has its own timeline", adding that "I'm not looking for a serious relationship right now."
