Kids brawl and hurl rocks at cops as viral '6-7' event at trampoline park turns to chaos

A viral '6-7' event at a Missouri trampoline park drew up to 350 unaccompanied children and teenagers, but descended into chaos as eight fights broke out and youths threw rocks at police officers

Massive 6-7 event attracts hundreds of kids - but ends in fights and arrests

A massive "6-7" event that drew roughly 300 youngsters descended into mayhem after eight brawls erupted. The gathering took place at Sky Zone, a trampoline park in Shrewsbury, Missouri.

When police arrived, they discovered that the venue had failed to arrange extra security despite expecting a substantial crowd. Shrewsbury Missouri Police Department said there were between 300 and 350 "unaccompanied juveniles" - aged 10 to 17 - queuing outside.

"With temperatures around 90 degrees, it did not take long for tempers to flare. Approximately 8 fights broke out in a matter of minutes," the department said in a statement on Facebook.

Officers called for backup from other agencies due to the "size" and "volatility" of the mob. The mayhem spilled over to neighbouring businesses, including Aldi, Walmart and My Place, where police said youngsters entered shops, caused damage, and threatened customers and staff. Most surrounding businesses were forced to shut for the day.

Police said some of the youths turned their aggression towards officers, shouting obscenities, making threats, hurling rocks, and refusing to leave the area, reports the Mirror.

Several youngsters were detained and later released to their parents or guardians. A knife was also confiscated from a 12-year-old girl who said she had travelled to the area from Florissant after seeing the fights on social media and wanted to be involved, bringing the weapon with her "for protection", police said.

The area was cleared by approximately 9.30pm. No officers were harmed and no injuries were reported by others.

It comes after we reported how a huge fight broke out at the Epsom Derby as racegoers looked on in horror as people began throwing punches.

Shocking footage has emerged of the incident, which occurred at Epsom Racecourse on Saturday (June 6). The video clip shows two men trading blows in front of stunned spectators during the famous horse race.

Racegoers watched as two men started "scrapping" during the last race of Derby Day, with the fighting lasting for several minutes despite attempts by staff to intervene.

The footage shows one man with his white shirt ripped from his body during the clash before he falls to the floor. He is then seen getting back up and re-enters the fight. The man continues to throw punches.
