A woman's self incriminating diary entry helped police arrest her on auto theft charges.

After allegedly swiping a van, Vanessa Guerra, from Minnesota, is said to have taken to her personal journal to share her feelings on the incident. Totally stole a car today! Something I never thought of doing, she wrote, before adding that she was "superfreaking out about it. The alleged confession was made on the very day a Brown County man flagged his 2004 Ford Freestar as missing, according to authorities.

The 1,579 ($2,000) van was eventually scrapped for cash at a salvage yard in Blue Earth county, the same area where Guerra lives in Mankato.

The news comes after a TikTok influencer also landed herself in hot water for bragging about items she allegedly shoplifted in a video to her more than 300,000 followers.

Charges were mounted against Guerra, with a November 22 criminal complaint noting that witnesses at the auto salvage business "stated that Guerra had brought the van in and sold it to them."

During the investigation into the vehicle theft, a Brown County Sheriff's Office detective stumbled upon Guerra's journal with the glaring confession that she "Totally stole a car today!"

When the sleuth reached out to Guerra, she "denied knowing that the vehicle was stolen."

Guerra, who's recently been working for DoorDash, now faces two serious charges of receiving stolen property and theft.

According to Smoking Gun she has a past conviction for driving with a suspended licence and without insurance.

In June, she admitted to misdemeanor theft, for which she had to spend a short time in the county jail and was put on unsupervised probation for a year.

The judge handed Guerra a 280 ($354) fine and instructed her to "remain law-abiding."
