'End of the world is coming' as doomsday prophets say 'time is very short'

A biblical prophecy blog has claimed the end of the world is near, warning that the Antichrist will appear when the Third Temple is built in Jerusalem and that Jesus Christ will then return to Earth

Two Holy Temples of Jerusalem were built on the Temple Mount, a sacred site of worship. Both met destruction - first at the hands of the Babylonians and later by the Romans.

Yet according to certain biblical doomsday prophets, should a third temple ever be erected, it would herald the world's end and Christ's second coming.

The most recent claims emerge from conspiracy theory website Sign Posts of the Times, which claims the Third Temple's construction will herald the Antichrist's arrival.

Subsequently, Jesus Christ will descend to Earth where he shall bring about the apocalypse and pass judgement on humanity for their transgressions, the blog maintains.

The blog's writers reference numerous Biblical passages which they claim support their claims.

The first is John 5:43 NIV which reads: "I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him."

Thessalonians 2:4 NIV said: "He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshipped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God."

John 2:2 NIV said: "He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."

Following 2020's events, including the coronavirus outbreak and blazes that devastated parts of the southwestern US and Australia, Sign Posts of the Times' writers believe the finale draws nearer.

The blog states: "As for the future Temple, we know from scripture that there must be a Tribulation Temple, (the Third Temple), on the heights of Mount Moriah, in which this future Man of Sin will enter to declare himself to be God or the Messiah, (false Christ), the world has been waiting for.

"Time is very short. Events could play our quicker and sooner than one can imagine (Just look at all that has taken place in the year 2020 and we aren't even done yet with this eventful year).

"Are you ready for Christ's return? Are you ready to meet the Son of the Living God, the true Messiah, the one who has paid the penalty for the sins of the world?".

"We pray you are ready to meet the Lord in the air. Let that be your hope in these crazy days we now live in."

Nevertheless, don't panic, as any scientist would confirm the apocalypse isn't imminent, and doomsday forecasts have been occurring for hundreds of years - none of which have materialised.

Time & Date noted: "The end of the world is near-again! For centuries, doomsdayers have prophesied the apocalypse.

"But there's a tiny catch: None of the end-of-world predictions ever come true."
