The world's most dangerous bromance has hit a terrifying new high. North Korean despot Kim Jong Un and Belarusian hardman Alexander Lukashenko have traded deadly gifts during a high-stakes summit in Pyongyang.
In a chilling display of unity, the two pariah leaders, both staunch allies of Vladimir Putin, signed a fresh friendship treaty aimed at defying the West and bolting their regimes together.
The meeting took a dark turn when Lukashenko, often dubbed "Europe's last dictator," handed Kim a high-powered automatic rifle. In footage released by Belarusian state media, Lukashenko quipped that the weapon was for Kim "just in case enemies appear."
Not to be outdone in the exchange of hardware, Kim presented his pal with a ceremonial sword and a custom vase emblazoned with Lukashenko's own face.
Addressing the North Korean leader, Lukashenko poured on the praise. He said: "I can tell you as a friend, as a person who has already seen everything in this world: a great future awaits your country with this hardworking, disciplined people."
The duo used the summit to rail against international law, claiming Western powers are "openly ignoring" international law.
Lukashenko insisted that their nations must stick together to protect their sovereignty while Kim hailed the new treaty as a way to "further guarantee the stable development of bilateral relations."
The pact covers everything from agriculture to public health, but the underlying message is clear - a united front against the democratic world.
Both regimes are currently buried under heavy international sanctions for their human rights records and their roles in fuelling Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Belarus has been accused of letting Putin use its land as a springboard for missile strikes and troop movements, while North Korea is reportedly sending troops to die on the front lines.
Last year, officials told the BBC that an estimated 1,000 North Korean soldiers died in the early months of the conflict.
Kim recently doubled down on his support for the Kremlin, telling Putin that "Pyongyang will always be with Moscow."
With Kim now armed with a new rifle from his Belarusian bestie, the axis of evil looks tighter and more armed than ever.
