It's common to find abandoned farmhouses or buildings in rural areas that have declined. These are often remnants of past generations, reflecting changes in farming practices, rural depopulation, or economic shifts. Such structures are usually privately owned, and their condition and history can vary widely.

And one place you can find these eerie properties is Ontario, Zorra. Derelict houses in the area sometimes attract photographers, urban explorers or local historians interested in the rural heritage. They could get in trouble for trespassing, but it's very tempting to see what is hiding behind the doors of the abandoned buildings.

Curiosity definitely got the better of one visitor called Dave, who posts YouTube videos of his discoveries on his Freaktography channel.

He spotted a building that was first seen on Google Street View back in 2009. At the time, the windows were already boarded up but the house was still visible.

On a now-deleted Reddit post, the explorer shared his experience. He said: "Abandoned house I just drove past by total chance, I actually don't know where I am.

"There's a very thick brush and it's tick season so I'm going to try and find another way around to see if I can get in to check it out. I don't even know what it looks like inside as I just found it."

He managed to find an opening and took a look around. The Redditor continued: "Very old, local kids have done a number it looks like... wow, what a mess. This is like the local kids hangout."

Signs of decay included graffiti on the walls, a piano in one of the rooms and a hazardous staircase. He asked viewers if they felt "dizzy" looking through all the rotting rooms.

Then navigating back to his car, he has to forge a path through overgrown trees and bushes.

People were fascinated by his experience and took to the comments section to respond to the house that had been "forgotten for years".

One said: "A sad state for a once beautiful house. Shameful waste of beautiful history."

Meanwhile, another remarked: "For a house that's been left to decay, there's a lot of sage words."
