An unfinished Tudor-style home full of incredible secrets has been left to fall into ruin, with pictures and video posted to social media revealing some amazing surprises. Images posted to Reddit and a clip on YouTube filmed by an urban explorer provide a look inside the building, seemingly abandoned in the middle of construction.

The home, in rural Ontario, Canada, is largely built, but also clearly unfinished, with parts missing or incomplete, including a turret-style wall. The inside of the home features Tudor-style beams throughout, as well as a large porch area, a kitchen, multiple bathrooms and toilet rooms, as well as a basement.

Many parts of the floor and ceilings have holes in them where copper pipes and wiring have apparently been stripped out. Detritus strewn throughout the house and evidence of missing air conditioning units are further examples of people stripping the building of anything with value.

Remaining in the dining room area, however, is a large wooden display cabinet unit, possibly too large to be removed. There is also a detached two-storey garage, and a hot tub in the outside area.

But the true highlight lies on the ground floor of the main home.

Here there is a large 'party room' - a large open area with two round chimney-style brick-built structures splitting it in two. And these hold an incredible secret - one of them hides a spiral staircase, leading to an open area above the main room, overlooking the ground floor level.

Reddit users were amazed by the home. One comment read: "What a great house! Although I expected the kitchen to be a little more grandiose." Another user replied: "Yeah, that kitchen does not belong in that house."

Another user wrote: "That spiral staircase scares the hell out of me. Do not use in the middle of the night after just waking up and do not use while under the influence of anything to make you dizzy or inebriated.

"Otherwise a very interesting house. I wonder why it was abandoned. Or is it sitting there empty because heirs dont want to do anything with it."

Another said: "Those spiral staircases were so popular when I was a kid, and everyone I knew who had one had broken their arm falling down them."

A different commenter wrote: "Wonder what happened. Someone put a lot of money and work into this only to leave it behind?"

Another user replied saying: "Could be death related. My great-uncle died going on seven years ago, and his estate still isn't settled! His house is just sitting there until his executors are allowed to do anything with it."

Another said the house "would make a fantastic tavern" for a Medieval-themed re-LARP (Live Action Role Playing) group.
