'Time traveller' from 6491 has 'catastrophic' news for humanity

A man who claims to be a time traveller from the year 6491 has warned that the future of Earth is at risk

The masked man who gave his name as James Oliver, claims to hail from a distant galaxy and is allegedly stranded on Earth.

According to this self-proclaimed time traveller, global warming's devastating impact is driving our planet towards complete catastrophe.

Climate change, he insisted, will trigger many "fairly large problems" and "environmental issues" down the line.

Speaking from a secret location to paranormal researchers from YouTube channel Panorama Elite, James attributed the crisis to both natural phenomena and human behaviour.

He said: "I'm not particularly well-learned in this area but knowing the outcome I will say that it seems to me it is a combination of both.

"So to a degree there is a part of it that you cannot control. Time is a river, you know, you cannot change the direction of a river by throwing pebbles into it but you can get closer, right?".

"I would say that being wary of environmental concerns is a big deal of what's going on in the immediate future."

The alleged time traveller also slammed today's political landscape, arguing that divisive politics are preventing genuine solutions from emerging.

James called upon countries worldwide to unite in addressing the global warming crisis. He said: "Politics, good Lord, it's like the politics of the world has taken a nosedive off of the idiot tree and smacked every branch on the way down.

"It's not like you have people in politics who aren't intelligent, because you do, they just don't know how to work together. You have such a divide between nations and it's just not beneficial to the total outcome of humanity. Cooperation and conscience are two key factors in determining the future for yourself."

James previously made an appearance on YouTube channel Apex TV, where he tried to persuade viewers that he is a bona fide time traveller.

However, there is scant scientific evidence to back up claims that humans possess the ability to traverse time. According to William Hiscock, a professor of physics at Montana State University, as he told Scientific American, we're not quite there yet with the technology.

The expert on time travel stated: "Time travel into the past, which is what people usually mean by time travel, is a much more uncertain proposition.

"There are many solutions to Einstein's equation of General Relativity that allow a person to follow a timeline that would result in her or him encountering himself - or her grandmother - at an earlier time.

"The problem is deciding whether these solutions represent situations that could occur in the real universe, or whether they are mathematical oddities incompatible with known physics."
