Russia celebrates 'Love Day' by telling Vladimir Putin to 'bleed the enemy dry' in WW3 threat

Love Day in Russia celebrates when a Prince broke with protocol by marrying a 'peasant', so what better way to do that then by making more war threats to the rest of the world

Love Day is a big thing in Russia, so why not talk about war, right?

Russia celebrated Love Day by telling Vladimir Putin to go full pelt into Ukraine and bleed the enemy dry as if he needs any encouragement. For the unaware, Russia has its own version of Valentine's Day, called Love Day.

The holiday is also known as Peter and Fevronia Day, which honours the memory of Prince Peter and a peasant woman named Fevronia, who lived in the city of Murom in the 13th century. According to the legend, Fevronia cured Peter of an incurable disease, and they fell deeply in love. Despite the objections of the local nobles who didn't want a peasant ruling them, Peter gave up his throne to stay with her and this is celebrated every year on July 8.

And while the streets were filled with couples getting married or just simply showing their love with giant images of Putin in the background, some saw it as the perfect time to . . . well, ramp up the war rhetoric.

Speaking to the Kremlin's favourite news outlet Moskovskij Komsomolets, so-called military expert and air defence historian Yuriy Knutov responded to claims made at the NATO summit that Germany was giving 600 Patriot PAC-3 missiles in 2027 via a deal with America.

This as you'd expect didn't go down well in Russia, with Knutov stating: We have one option, it's harsh, but the only possible one. We always isolate the combat zone before launching an offensive, wearing down and bleeding the enemy dry.

This isolation must be along Ukraine's border. That means we must actively disable the ports, border crossings, and railway stations through which everything and everyone is delivered to Ukraine.

Whether these supplies are military or civilian is a secondary issue. All these logistics must cease operations. This also applies to the bridges between eastern and western Ukraine. This is the only way we can stop the flow of weapons, which will soon simply flood into Ukraine.

For the unaware, the Patriot PAC-3 is described as the world's most powerful air defence missile, with makers Lockheed Martin stating: The PAC-3 family of missiles defend against incoming threats using direct body-to-body contact that delivers exponentially more kinetic energy on the target than can be achieved with blast-fragmentation mechanisms.

Building on the combat-proven PAC-3 Cost Reduction Initiative (CRI), the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) expands the lethal battlespace with a two-pulse solid rocket motor, providing increased performance in altitude and range.

Let's be honest, if there's one thing you want to discuss during Love Day, it's missiles and war . . . right?
