A homeless man has been described as unrecognisable thanks to a kind stranger's selfless action.
Hairdresser Joshua Santiago is on a mission to give those who sleep on the streets some hope in hard times. He gives free haircuts to people who can't afford to pay through his company, Empowering Cuts, founded in 2017.
Now the man, from Philadelphia, travels the US offering the makeovers. His latest job even left people in tears after Santiago shared a new clip with his 492,100 TikTok followers.
The minute-long video starts by showing a homeless man wearing a red hoodie and jeans. He is then welcomed onto the chair for a trim as he appears to look sad and vulnerable before the session begins.

The hairdresser then wraps him up in a cloth and gets to work on his locks and facial hair. Then moments later, the man is already sporting a different look with a side fade and neatened beard.
Finally once the job is done, he gives the anonymous man a mirror then gifts him with an entirely new outfit and trainers which he puts on immediately. The final clip shows his incredible transformation and it's safe to say it's left many people in tears.
The post racked up 9,700 likes and hundreds of comments since it was posted on TikTok. One person gushed: "My boy out here doing God's work, bless you fam." Another added: "The Holy Spirit is working through you to give people hope."
And a third chimed in: "Thank you for everything you do bro. You cut my hair when I was homeless now I'm eight months clean, keep helping people!" Then a fourth posted: "These gets me emotional every time." Others claimed Joshua was "such a blessing".
For a number of years now, Joshua has been travelling throughout the country providing free trims for the unhoused and people battling with addition. Hailing from Philadelphia, he often visits the Kensington neighbourhood to meet with the people.
He speaks with them before offering a free haircut and transforming their appearance. On the weekends, he brings out a mobile RV with a full service barbershop. The barber said the conversations he has with them offer an opportunity for transformations.
