Aviation photographer Javier Alonso de Medina Salguero captured the scene as a seagull hit a Eurofighter at a Spanish display in June.
Amazingly, Javier didn't notice what he had captured until checking out his pictures later. He explains: "This happened at San Javier Air Base, on the beach of Santiago de la Ribera, Murcia on June 15. I was at the base in the San Javier area, at the site where they took us photographers. We were watching the Eurofighter display when we saw it leave without finishing the display.
"They reported over the radio that it had hit a seagull and broken the cockpit. Just then, I looked at the photos I had and saw the whole sequence. When I looked at the photos, I was amazed to see the front of the cockpit broken.
"Luckily, the pilot landed and was unharmed."
Javier used a Nikon D7500 with a Nikon 200-500mm telephoto lens. The incident happened at the Aire25 international air festival held at San Javier Air Base.
This was not the first time a psycho seagull has drawn attention, with the Daily Star previously reporting on birds targeting and attacking posties on their morning rounds.
Royal Mail claimed that some deliveries may be delayed due to the gulls divebombing the innocent workers. Managers have even had to send notes to homes explaining why services are affected and the culprits behind the vicious attacks.
In response, people are being asked to collect post from the delivery office or nominate a different address away from the affected area in order to avoid the birds.
Locals described the seagulls as "vicious". Royal Mail said: We are still attempting deliveries every day, but where thats not possible, we will make another attempt the following day.
Tory MP in Scotland added Rachael Hamilton aggressive seagulls had attacked seven children in one month last year in Eyemouth. She said one girl was left with gashes to her scalp and blood running down her face in a divebombing attack.
However, some disagree. Scottish MP Christine Grahame added: Language such as mugging and menace can be applied to us, or our counterparts, but it is not appropriate to demonise an animal simply looking for food."
Some animal lovers have warned against "demonising" the birds, with the RSPCA releasing a billboard featuring two seagulls perched on a rock alongside the bold statement "gulls are lovers not fighters".
