Riot police were called in after mayhem broke out following an illegal AirBnB party attended by hundreds of wild teens. Out of control partygoers and shocking scenes were caught on camera as the party spiralled out of control in a suburban street in Melbourne, Australia.

Footage revealed hordes of youngsters dancing in a room packed like sardines, and hundreds of riotous, drunk teenagers streaming into Wilana Street, filling the otherwise quiet road.

According to 7News Melbourne, the party was a ticketed event that was promoted on social media. It was advertised as having no curfew.

Originally, the police tried to shut down the party at 10.30pm, however the revellers continued to party.

A resident said: There were hundreds of kids on the street. Teenagers yelling, cops telling them to get back. It was chaotic.

Riot police were called in and police blocked off one end of the street.

I kid you not, it looked like 20 more cop cars, 50 cops, the resident said.

However, that wasnt the end to the chaos. With nowhere to go, the crowd turned violent, with multiple fights breaking out on the street between both men and women who kicked and punched and pulled hair.

A decidedly unromantic start to Valentines Day, the homeowners dad was tasked with inspecting the house and the cleanup.

He discovered that every room had been trashed, including holes in walls, broken furniture and garbage strewn across the home.

The biggest surprise for the father, however, was two partygoers passed out in one of the bedrooms, who had slept through the night.

Aroused by the dad and news crew, they were asked if they were the ones who rented the AirBnB.

One of the young men, dressed in black jeans and a black hoodie, replied that he wasnt and asked: Do you guys know who trashed the f*** out of this house though?

The homeowner, Jean Chen, said that the incident was a nightmare and a shock.

Residents say this wasnt the party held on the street, with another party drawing a similar wild, violent young crowd taking place about a month ago.

Another resident said: This second time, its very hard for everybody.

Police estimate around 500 people turned up to the party. No arrests have been made.
