'I was glamour model and I'm happy Loaded lads mag is back it'll help wives stay in shape'

EXCLUSIVE: A controversial magazine famous for promoting lad culture is striving to attract former readers who now have wives and kids - and one ex-glamour model thinks it will benefit marriages

A notorious lads mag is back and while some called the rebrand trash, one former glamour model is all for it.

Loaded folded in 2015 but the editor believes the digital-only reboot, featuring Elizabeth Hurley as the inaugural cover girl, will allow blokes to ogle women without watching racy content.

And Carla Bellucci - once labelled the 'UK's most hated woman - insisted the classic lads magazine for men who know better can actually help marriages.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Carla, who once posed for Zoo, said: Lots of these men need some amusing in their boring work and marriage lives. Its only pictures so I cant see the problem and it will push wives and girlfriends to keep themselves in shape.

But asked if it would set unrealistic body standards, she replied: I think it can be a positive for women. There is nothing better than seeing all types of beautiful women owning it.

It will also give more real expectations than social media. I think the only women that will say different will be the insecure women that hate anything sexy - mind you they are usually the ones with their t**s out in Benidorm.

The mum-of-four, from Hitchin, Herts, once earned a decent living from lad mag photoshoots and said they made her feel empowered and positive as a woman.

She is adamant the photographs are harmless and that Loaded returning is the real deal as opposed to amateurs who do it for free on Instagram.

The controversial influencer even said she would strip down again if the magazine contacted her - despite there being a downside.

My sons would be mortified and will disown me, she laughed. But I have to do me and if they want a hot mama to strip off I will be there. They are already following me on Instagram so fingers crossed.

And even though content has never been more readily available online, Carla believes it is a genius business move to restore Loaded to its former glory.

She explained: There is something authentic about lad mags. They aim for men and know how to hit the right audiences. To me, everyone looks the same on social media so I think it is refreshing that Loaded is back right in time.

The editor of the magazine, famed for its take on lad culture, non-pc humour and attractive women, is fitness influencer Danni Levy. The 39-year-old is based in Andalucia, Spain, and she spoke about the relaunch with The Times.

She stressed that free adult content online gives youngsters a warped idea of sexual normality but said her mag will be a middle ground.

And as for who she wants to target, she added: The original Loaded audience who are now living happily at home with their wife and kids but still reminisce about their nights spent clubbing until 3am, drinking 1 shots, with a bedroom covered in posters of half-naked women."

But reacting on X/Twitter, Rebecca Reid said: Bringing back Loaded: great idea. Bringing back Loaded like this: absolutely trash.
