Subway brings back fan favourite menu item and people are so excited

Subway has shaken up its menu by launching four limited edition products including a fan favourite that's returning. So here's everything you need to know

It's official Subway has launched a new Chicken Shawarma Sub.

On March 24, the fast food giant launched the menu item that's packed with spice and punchy flavours due to the marination process. It consists of oven-cooked chicken thigh pieces, which are marinated for a minimum four hours in a flavoursome blend of cumin, coriander, turmeric and paprika.

Alternatively, customers can pick up a vegetarian option. The Smashed Falafel sub is made using vibrant green chickpeas, and flavoured with a classic combination of parsley, coriander and cumin.

You can pair each menu item with the new Yoghurt, Mint and Garlic Sauce that has diced gherkins running through it for extra oomph.

Cathy Goodwin, Director of Culinary & Innovation Subway EMEA, said: Were excited to bring bold, innovative and trending flavours to our menu with the launch of Shawarma Spiced Chicken and Smashed Falafel, alongside our brand-new Yoghurt, Mint & Garlic Sauce. Then no meal is complete without a sweet treat! So for dessert, Subway has brought back the fan-favourite Raspberry Cheesecake Cookie. You can buy these individually, in a three-pack or 12-pack to share with your loved ones.

People will be pleased to see the menu item back because they've been begging Subway for it for months!

On X, one customer said: "Craving that Raspberry Cheesecake Cookie from Subway. I've only had that once last year and I've been wanting it since then."

Another wrote: "The most perfect invention, no notes Raspberry Cheesecake Cookie from Subway. I could eat three of them back to back and feel 0 shame."
