TV favourite Alison Hammond has shown off the results of her sensational weight loss while working up a sweat in a boxing class.
The 51-year-old This Morning star has dropped a whopping 11 stone in weight over the last five years. She has achieved the impressive transformation by making huge changes to her diet and fitness regime.
Alison often posts snaps of herself working out on Instagram and has now shared new photos of herself throwing punches during a gruelling private boxing session. The Big Brother star was sporting a black t-shirt and sweatpants as she perfected her pad work.
She certainly wasn't afraid to get stuck in and threw herself into the class with her trainer. Alison captioned the post: "Yass @themccannic! Same time next week," alongside a flame and boxing glove emoji.
Alison, who has vowed to never touch weight-loss jabs, is also an advocate of circuit training and Reformer Pilates. The presenter said she signed up for the classes because she is "stiff as a board".
Talking to Closer magazine, she said: "You feel absolutely incredible after it. I really need a good stretch - so Reformer Pilates has been brilliant for me. I also do this early-morning circuit class from the brilliant Steve Hensel at Blue Zone. I'll go at 6.30am and do a full hour, it's a proper old-school gym."
She said she leaves the gym feeling 'amazing' after a workout, but Alison said there is one health trick she definitely won't be trying again. She continued: "I did try one of those cold plunge pools once - and absolutely not! It lasted about a minute. I was like: 'Why am I literally trying to kill myself?"'
Alison's weight loss journey was prompted by the discovery that she was pre-diabetic a situation she has fortunately reversed with healthier food choices and exercise. However, it's not always easy for the Bake Off presenter on set.
Talking to the Daily Mail about how she avoids temptation, she said: "I eat a bit of Paul and Prue's after they've finished judging. I only try the ones that got a handshake from Paul or ones that won. If the judges aren't impressed, I'm not trying it."
The mum-of-one, who weighed 28 stone at her heaviest, also has a personal trainer. Talking to Heat magazine, she said: "I've got a personal trainer - she's amazing, she trains me when I can train. If I'm working, I don't train, I'll go for a walk. But when I'm at home, I'll go and have a session with her in the morning, just an hour. It might be four days a week."
Alison also revealed she still has a treat every now and then, explaining: "I don't deny myself anything, I eat everything, but in moderation."
