Bake Off's Prue Leith, 86, shares her spicy bedroom tips using 'gels and pills'

Great British Bake Off legend Prue Leith has shared her super saucy bedroom tips. The TV star is married to her husband Jon Playfair and recently spoke to Saga Magazine about her intimate moments with him.

Leith explained that she's trying out testosterone gel, oestrogen patches and progesterone pills.

The GBBO star said: "It's great for libido, you feel better and younger [...] I asked a doctor: 'Whats normal [concerning sex in older couples]?' She said there are no studies, because its just imagined people my age dont. I dont think Id be active in every sense without hormone replacement therapy. When people ask: 'How do you look so young? How are you still working?' Well, thats the secret."

Prue is on HRT and has no intention of coming off it: "I always say: 'Why?' HRT has an increased risk of breast cancer, but its tiny and if I came off it now Id go through menopause symptoms at 86, which would be horrendous."

She married Jon back in 2016 after they met in 2011. She has previously admitted that she fled from their first ever meeting at a friend's house.

The pair attended a mutual friend's dinner party but she felt awkward, made an excuse and left. The TV star said that John appeared at her door the next day saying he "knew she was the one".

This comes after news that Prue will be stepping down from her GBBO role as Nigella Lawson takes her place. She announced: "When I joined nine years ago, I thought, since I was in my mid-seventies, that I'd be lucky to manage two years."

"At that age, my mother was deaf as a post and away with the fairies, believing her son was her father and that her cat was the one she'd had 40 years before. But my marbles stayed more or less in place and there seemed no good reason to give up a job I loved."

"Finally, though, the desire to work less and play more got to me. Bake Off and its offshoots such as The Great American Baking Show and even the Christmas specials are all filmed in the summer, which has meant I could never have a summer holiday."
