The Daily Star: News with a Wink

Beckham family support Cruz as he shares first interview after Brooklyn's statement

Cruz Beckham opened up about his musical memories in his first ever interview on Virgin Radio as proud parents Victoria and David Beckham listened in from home

Cruz appeared on Chris Evans' Virgin Radio UK Breakfast Show

Cruz Beckham had his most devoted supporters cheering him on as he delivered his debut live radio interview with doting parents Victoria Beckham and David Beckham listening in and messaging throughout.

The 19-year-old musician appeared on Chris Evans' Virgin Radio UK Breakfast Show this morning with his band The Breakers comprising Dan Ewins, Dario Scott and Telmo Seixas where they delivered a live studio performance of their latest single For Your Love. While Cruz appeared calm and composed behind the microphone, it appears his mum and dad were experiencing all the feelings.

Chris disclosed that David had already made contact earlier during the programme after he played tracks from The Stone Roses. He told Cruz: "We played Stone Roses this morning and your dad texted me 'You can't get enough Stone Roses.'"

Then, the presenter offered the celebrity duo an affectionate mention live on air. "Good morning to mum and dad. They know who they are. In the gym and on the school run. Tears are being shed. Don't worry, the pleasure is all ours", reports the Mirror.

Reflecting on his musical past, Cruz confessed his inaugural concert was probably witnessing mum's legendary girl band, Spice Girls, before disclosing that his father had accompanied him to see The Stone Roses at Old Trafford.

It's evident the Manchester icons occupy a treasured spot in his affections. When asked which album he'd save if catastrophe struck his home, Cruz responded without hesitation selecting The Stone Roses' eponymous vinyl, inherited from David's personal collection.

"He's given me a big box of his old records," Cruz beamed.

Brother Romeo was also showing his support, posting a picture on Instagram as the Beckham family united behind their budding musician.

This follows Cruz making a heartfelt gesture towards his brother Brooklyn through a striking social media post.

Last year, Cruz stopped following Brooklyn on social media following the family's painful rift. After Brooklyn launched a scathing attack on his entire family in a brutal six-page Instagram rant last month, any chance of making amends seemed to vanish completely.

Yet now Cruz appears to be extending a peace offering by sharing a photograph of himself with Romeo and Brooklyn, all laughing together as youngsters. He also posted a picture of his brothers alongside little sister Harper, all sporting beekeeper costumes in a sweet nostalgic moment.

This development comes as Brooklyn disclosed he still bears his tattoo tributes to his brothers despite having his mum and dad's inkings covered up. The aspiring cook has yet to have his sibling-dedicated tattoos removed, even though contact has ceased during the family dispute.

Cruz appeared to extend an olive branch to his brothers

In fresh photographs obtained by the Mirror today, Brooklyn can still be spotted displaying his well-known 'Brotherhood' tattoo on his leg, which he had done as a tribute to Cruz and Romeo.

Photographed in coordinated clothing with wife Nicola, the tattoo was clearly visible, hinting that a potential reunion might be possible, despite Brooklyn declaring in his furious statement last month that he had no desire to communicate with his family again. He also lashed out at his brothers in his explosive post, alleging they had been "sent" to block him on social media.

Despite Cruz's recent Instagram revelation, brother Romeo demonstrated he remains firmly on 'team mum and dad' by showing off his latest tattoo - whilst the family's bitter row with eldest sibling Brooklyn rages on.

Sharing a snap of his fresh ink on Instagram, the word 'family' in cursive script is visible on the nape of his neck beneath a cross and wings design he previously had done.

Below the post - which appeared in Romeo's stories but was uploaded via Soho tattoo studio Fine Line Hearts Club's profile - supporters gushed over how much they 'adored' his new artwork. Yet one follower alluded to the continuing family rift, remarking: "Minus Brooklyn."

A second added: "Family is FOREVER."

Nevertheless, Brooklyn appears to feel differently following recent sightings of a modified tattoo on his right arm. The original design featured an anchor with 'Dad' emblazoned in the middle. Below it read: "Love you Bust."

Buster is believed to be an affectionate moniker shared between Brooklyn and his father during better times. Yet the text has apparently been erased and reworked to display three indistinct shapes over the anchor as family tensions persist.
