Bonnie Tyler lifts lid on secret to youthful looks but can't get it during lockdown

Welsh vocalist Bonnie Tyler says that she gets injected with Botox bi-annually but hasn't been able to be treated due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown that has closed services

Music legend Bonnie Tyler has spoken out on how she keeps her youthful glow as she approaches her 70th birthday later this year.

The singer, who is known for hits such as the iconic Total Eclipse of the Heart, is often praised for her age-defying looks and has shared her secret.

But she says she hasn't undergone the procedure in over a year.

Bonnie, 69, revealed that the secret to her good looks is, in fact, Botox and is injected twice per year with the liquid that relaxes the facial muscles.

"I've been having Botox twice a year, for many years, darling," the rockstar said.

She went on to tell The Sun: "I haven't had the opportunity since the Christmas before (the) last but I'm doing all right, I'm quite fit for my age, thank God.

"And I'm never going to retire, I look at Tom Jones, he's amazing his voice is as strong as ever and he's got ten years on me."

Bonnie, who is set to release an eighties-style album titled The Best Is Yet To Come, revealed that before she makes her way to the stage, she enjoys a Jack Daniels to give her "wings".

"My ritual before I go on stage is we all hug each other, the band and crew, and I have one Jack Daniel's and a Red Bull, and then it gives me wings, I just love it."

She added that her time on stage often flies by after enjoying her liquid booster.

Last week, Bonnie amazed the nation during her appearance on This Morning as she celebrated St David's Day, the patron saint of her home country, Wales.

Viewers instantly took to social media to share their reaction after discovering that the I Need A Hero songstress was approaching her seventh decade.

Bonnie appeared to be in high spirits as she appeared on the show via video link from her home in Portugal, sipping on a glass of champagne.

"Well, I have to say, that was unexpected of my husband Rob to give me a glass of champagne," she joked.

"I normally do all my work before I quaff champagne."

She went on to raise a toast, saying: "Happy St David's Day!"
