Caroline Flack's mother has shared the touching role her son Paul played in their family, just months before his untimely passing. In November 2025, Christine, a mother of four, featured in a Disney Plus documentary exploring the heartbreaking death of former Love Island host Caroline. The ITV star tragically took her own life on February 15, 2020.

It has now been confirmed that her older brother Paul has passed away in hospital at the age of 55. He was discovered unresponsive at his Norwich home on June 21. Despite attempts to save him, Paul was declared dead at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

In the Disney documentary, Christine discusses the unique roles her children held within their sibling dynamic. She characterised Paul as "the fun aspect", reports the Mirror.

Christine said: "Paul, being the only boy, was the fun aspect. He'd get all the naughty things, really, with them [his sisters]."

Christine also disclosed the roles her eldest daughter Elizabeth and twins Caroline and Jody fulfilled.

"[Caroline] was one-off out of the four children, really," she began. "She was always a character. She was the funny one as well, she'd make us laugh. She liked performing to me and her dad."

She continued: "Carrie and her twin sister, Jo, they'd never grown apart. It was always them two against the world. My eldest daughter, Lizzie, was ten when the twins were born. When they'd get up in the night, they'd get in her bed, which was lovely."

When Caroline passed away, Christine says their family "changed quickly".

The Flack family has tragically lost another member just six years on. Paul, who was employed as a graphic designer, is survived by his partner and their children.

Norfolk Police issued a statement saying: "Officers were called by ambulance after concerns for the safety of a man in his 50s. He was taken by ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but was sadly pronounced dead at 10.44pm. The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but police do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances."

A preliminary post mortem determined his cause of death to be cardiac arrest due to hanging, as reported by The Eastern Daily Press. An inquest was initiated this week at Norfolk Coroner's Court and is scheduled for October 23.
