CBB star rushed to hospital after 'splitting their head open' in horror accident

Celebrity Big Brother star Courtney Stodden had blood pouring from their head and revealed they were taken to hospital for brain scans after the grisly accident

Celebrity Big Brother star Courtney Stodden has been rushed to hospital for brain scans after a horrific accident.

The TV star, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, was left covered in blood from a wound on their head after the grisly ordeal. They explained that they "busted" their head open while bending down to try and pick up their phone.

They took to Instagram with a vid from the car to explain what had happened. The star, who appeared on CBB in 2013 and Celebs Go Dating in 2017, was visibly emotional and blood was running down their face.

Courtney said: "This is your reminder when you drop something, dont bend down and quickly, dont bend and snap.

"I bent and snapped and tried to pick up my phone. I dropped and I busted my head open in public. There goes the fire truck, theyre like, were not dealing with you. But its your reminder. Be careful out there guys."

Captioning the post, they added: "Dont bend and snap slow down. Dropped my phone, reached too fast, and hit the edge of a counter so hard my head split open blood everywhere ended up in the er getting it glued shut.

"Nothing glamorous about moving too fast just to grab something that doesnt matter." Courtney later informed followers that they had gotten a CT scan to check that her brain was okay.

They added: "I got a CT scan, no brain bleed. Im okay, just a hard hit reminder to slow down, life will literally make you if you dont!"

Courtney Stodden shot to fame because of her marriage to 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison in 2011, when they were just 16 years old. Last year, their controversial relationship was told in a Lifetime biopic titled I Was a Child bride: The Courtney Stodden Story.

Courtney's mum told The Sun of the project: "I respect my daughter, shes brilliant, shes talented, shes beautiful. I have a lot of admiration for her.

"But when you have a movie made about you and your family, Lifetime has this beginning statement that they added things to it to make it more dramatic, and theres one scene that really, really bothered me. It was really hard for me to watch. It really made me sad."
