Coldplay fans handed new way to buy tickets for Wembley gigs what you need to know

Coldplay have announced a major change to their UK tour, specifically around two Wembley shows, opening up a new avenue for fans to get hold of tickets

Coldplay fans have been enjoying the band's spectacular shows at Wembley Stadium in recent weeks, but the group has now encountered a major problem.

The Chris Martin-fronted outfit revealed over the weekend that they would be forced to postpone two gigs, rearranging their schedule.

The band blamed local transport issues for forcing their decision, posting on social media: "Without a Tube service, it's impossible to get 82,000 people to the concert and home again safely, and therefore no event licence can be granted for the nights of 7th and 8th September."

They added: "To avoid cancelling the shows, our only option is to reschedule."

Coldplay revealed their September 7 gig would move to September 6, whilst their September 8 performance has been shifted to September 12.

And this last-minute change means countless fans will be unable to attend the rearranged dates, opening up a new path for fans to get hold of tickets

Coldplay confirmed that any returned tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 11am.

This provides supporters with a fresh opportunity to purchase tickets at the final moment before the band's concluding performances. Moreover, fans may find luck in securing tickets via resale platforms, as a wave of resales is anticipated in the coming days from disappointed ticket-holders looking to offload their passes.

viagogo and resale tickets

Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.

So, there are ample opportunities for fans to get involved now, and we've detailed what you need to know to secure your tickets.
