Coleen Nolan breaks silence as sons ex accuses her of being a cruel bully

Loose Women legend and TV star Coleen Nolan has strongly disputed allegations boldly made by her son Shane's ex-girlfriend Emma Kivell during an ongoing family dispute

Coleen Nolan has responded to accusations from her son's former girlfriend that she is a "cruel bully". The Loose Women presenter's son Shane's ex-partner, Emma Kivell, also alleged that the TV host would call her "every name under the sun".

Emma and Shane were introduced in 2015 through mutual friends and the following year they welcomed a daughter together, Amelia-Rose. Although the couple were not together, it was reported that Shane had committed to supporting Emma as a single mum after their baby was born - with Loose Women star Coleen even present at the birth.

However, Emma alleges that grandmother Coleen, initially supportive, changed over time and claimed: "Coleen actually stopped seeing Amelia-Rose for a whilst because she was not willing to go to my house."

Emma also suggested that the situation contributed to her having a breakdown. She told The Sun: "She'd call me every name under the sun, like 'you jealous b****', and she was vile."

But now a representative for Coleen has exclusively told the Mirror: "Our client strongly disputes the allegations, which are inaccurate and misleading."

They added: "They are presented without the necessary context and arise from a contested private family matter. It is inappropriate to report on such matters, particularly where doing so risks involving a child."

Just a few months ago during the family row, Emma had unleashed a scathing attack on Coleen's alleged 'toxicity and pettiness' as the family dispute continues. It was previously claimed that Coleen had been prevented from seeing Amelia Rose for nearly seven years.

In September, Shane maintained on social media that he had been providing child maintenance and even increased his payments after being unable to offer support during the pandemic, telling followers: "I would never not pay. We miss her and can't wait for one day for her to be in our lives."

Emma responded angrily though in a social media post, alleging that Shane hadn't 'made any real effort to be involved' in his daughter's life. She wrote: "He's never asked how she is, how she's doing, if she needs anything, not even a message during the height of COVID. Financial support stopped during that time too, and only resumed because of court enforcement."

She also claimed that Shane was prevented from seeing his daughter due to 'breaches' to court orders. Speaking about the Nolan side of the family directly, Emma went on to say: "She doesn't need your pettiness, or the toxicity from your side of the family."

Last summer, it was disclosed that Shane Jnr had embarked on a new relationship with mortgage manager Kimberley Sallis, who has a 12-year-old daughter - the couple welcomed a little boy together last November.

Previously discussing becoming a grandmother for the first time, Coleen told The Mirror: "They got together one night and there you go."

She continued: "But they're not compatible in a relationship. Obviously, you wish they were madly in love and could see a future together. That's the best scenario for anyone. But then I thought 'Oh my God, I'm going to be a nanny and was thrilled'."

In June 2024, Coleen excitedly announced that she was set to become a granny again when she revealed that her youngest son Jake Roche was expecting a little boy with his fiance Georgia. Her daughter Ciara Fensome welcomed a baby boy last October with her partner Max Innes.

Coleen's heartfelt post at the time included the words, "I'm almost lost for words and I can barely describe the unbelievable range of emotions I'm feeling right now, love, pride, relief, happiness, to name a few."

Shane Jnr married former Miss Great Britain Maddie Wahdan in July 2022, after six years of dating but by December 2023, they had separated following reports that Shane had been unfaithful to Maddie.
