Coleen Rooney is reportedly afraid that Rebekah Vardy could "ruin her brand". It comes as former footballer's wife Vardy launches her new TV show later this week.
Rebekah Vardy, 44, is set to release a new programme, The Vardys, which kicks off on ITV1 this week. The show is set to offer audiences a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the football family as they embark on their new Italian adventure.
But it seems that Coleen, who found herself locked in a bitter legal dispute with Becky in 2019, is concerned that references to the clash will crop up in the show. A source admitted she even confided to a friend that she wishes Becky would "get her own life and leave me alone".
Coleen and Rebekah were dragged into the infamous legal battle after accusations that Rebekah's Instagram account was leaking stories about her to the press. Rebekah has always denied the claims being made against her, but eventually lost her libel case in the High Court in July 2022.
"Coleen doesn't need Becky's show airing at the moment," a source revealed to the Mirror. "She doesn't want the court case being dragged up again and her name being on the front page of the newspapers."
The WAGs came face to face in court in 2022, when Becky launched libel proceedings against Coleen. The judge ultimately ruled in Coleen's favour, and Becky was ordered to pay her 1.8 million in legal costs.

Four years following the ruling, Becky has addressed the saga, while once again maintaining her innocence. The Telegraph reported that Becky declared she's "never, ever, going to apologise for something [she] didn't do... Hell will freeze over before I do that."
Becky's husband, former Leicester City striker Jamie, supported his wife, stating: "People thinking that Bex was a villain. It's just a load of s*** but everyone close to her knows, that's all she needs.
"It was really tough seeing Bex in pain, obviously with all the c**p coming her way. As a husband, the only thing you can do is be there for her."
Coleen, 40, who is married to former Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney, chronicled her perspective of events for the Disney+ documentary series Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story in 2023. In the programme, she revealed how she'd compiled the evidence she believed she needed regarding the leaked stories, but hadn't expected to face legal action over what she'd found.
She told Woman's Hour the court battle was "one of the toughest times I've had". She explained: I would never in a million years have thought a court case could come from that. I did not want to go to court and I was terrified because I've never been in a courtroom before."
Since then, Coleen has finished runner-up in the 2024 series of I'm A Celebrity... has her own fashion line with Primark and has been collaborating with various brands including the supplement company Applied Nutrition. And a close source says Coleen doesn't want Becky's new show to jeopardise all the brilliant things that she has going on.
"Coleen's got her Primark range and so many other projects and she really doesn't need this," they revealed.
