Cruz Beckham follows in Victoria's footsteps as he releases explicit debut music

Cruz Beckham is following in his mum Victoria's footsteps as he enters the world of music, but his debut singles are far from the girl power pop the Spice Girls released

Cruz Beckham is making his debut in music, with two tracks Optics and Lick The Toad. Following in mum Victoria Beckham's footsteps, the 20-year-old is going down the indie rock route rather than pop like the Spice Girls did. And his explicit lyrics couldn't be more different to the music his mum released.

In Lick The Toad, the less explicit of the two songs, Cruz sings of "weed" and "erupting waters", basing it on "Mother Nature".

In the chorus, he sings: "Let me take a lick of you mother nature, imma take a lick. Let me take a hit of you mother nature, imma take a hit."

He also references his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, 30, with: "When you ring me and my girl and we're in bed / And wanna be alone / You come in loud and take the darkness from my mind / So I can love again."

The second song, Optics, features far raunchier lyrics.

Again delving into sex and drugs, he sings: "Take a thousand selfies in your bed while I trip in mine / I love me some mushrooms and good head and an erotic 69."

In the chorus, lyrics include: "Stay high fashion, no comedown, no crashing but you wanna know how it looks, I wanna know how it feels."

It's not the nepo-baby singer's first attempt at music, having released a few tracks during his childhood nine years ago.

One of which was a cover of Justin Bieber song Home To Mama, while the other was a Christmas song.

He also released the song For Ya Love in December.

However his new music came with some big name backing, as The Kooks singer Luke Pritchard joined in on the song-writing.

Cruz has already been performing the music, having had a gig at the east London venue George Tavern.

He said during the gig: "This is really special for me. I just want to thank everyone for being here tonight."

Girlfriend Jackie was at the gig and told her social media followers: "Safe to say I did not keep it together."

She went on: "Unannounced, just working on his craft, doing his little thing, having fun, learning, preparing, all HIS songs made by HIM played by HIM sang by HIM, absolutely smashing it, I love you."

On YouTube, fans have been sharing their excitement.

One said of Lick The Toad: "This is unironically really good and not the nepo baby pop bull s*** I would've expected. Well done Cruz."

Another said: "Very good. Catchy. Brit pop albarnesque."
