Danniella Westbrook has been seen for the first time since she went under the knife for her latest round of facial reconstruction surgery. The star was seen smiling as she posed for photographers at a charity match.

Ex-EastEnders star Danniella, 52, has been speaking openly about her surgical journey to reconstruct her face after years of substance abuse and health problems. She recently revealed she would need to have around "five or six" more surgeries to get her look back to how she wanted it.

The actress began her journey over a year ago, and recently went under the knife in order to reverse a hare lip. Now, weeks after the first of several rounds of surgery, Danniella has looked radiant in the summer sun.

Arriving at the Sellebrity Soccer charity football match in east London on Monday (July 13), Danniella wowed as she billowed in the breeze in a floral maxi dress. Her hair was also done up into a ponytail, but she maintained a fringe which covered up part of her face.

She was also seen wearing large black-tinted sunglasses, which obscured her face more. She finished off her look with a large brown leather handbag and a pair of black flats.

Earlier this month, Danniella shared a number of snaps showing off her recovery from the first surgery. She showed off the various stitches she had done on her upper lip following the procedure to lower her lip back to its normal spot.

The former actress said she needs to have another five procedures to restore her face

Having undergone what's known as an upper vascular flap procedure, as well as a lip augmentation, Danniella seemed pleased with how the look came out. The actress has already gone under the knife this year, telling Vannessa Feltz on her now-cancelled Channel 5 show she had flown to Dubai for a series of surgeries.

But there is still danger for Danniella as she admitted she will have to undergo surgery again soon to have a metal cheekbone implanted in her face so that her face does not cave in on itself.

"Since I got older the osteoporosis has set in on my bones," Danniella revealed. "So on this side of my face, I don't have any bone at all.

"So they've got to rebuild all my bones. At the moment it's filler, but they've really got to do a metal bone. It's got to be put in there.

"I've got to do at some point a metal cheekbone here and connect it to further up in here where the bone isn't corroding," she went on to say. She revealed she would now be undergoing surgery "every two and a half to three months" to help rebuild her face.
