David Beckham spotted at England game after fans notice behaviour with Victoria

David Beckham grabbed the attention of England fans on social media on Saturday for his rousing performance of "God Save the King" before the Three Lions' World Cup quarter-final clash against Norway at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Cameras at the ground filmed the former England skipper belting out the anthem with enthusiasm alongside his wife, Victoria Beckham, just days after he was seen reacting theatrically to a glaring Harry Kane miss against Ghana.

Beckham's presence at the match came after he welcomed England's squad at his Inter Miami training facility in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, offering up the Florida Blue Training Center in preparation for the team's quarter-final showdown with Erling Haaland and Norway.

Video of Beckham singing did the rounds on X, with fans responding warmly to the moment. One user joked that the broadcast director cutting to Beckham during the anthem made perfect sense "because we all know that's the king we're really singing about."

Others noted the rare sight of Victoria at a fixture, with one supporter observing, "You know it's serious for David Beckham tonight if he managed to convince Victoria to watch a match.", reports the Mirror US, reports the Mirror.

Additional posts praised the couple's show of patriotism, with one describing them as "a true power couple showing respect during the national anthem."

Beckham, who serves as president and co-owner of Inter Miami, was present at the Fort Lauderdale training ground with his sons Romeo and Cruz, taking time to speak personally with several players, including captain Harry Kane, before England commenced their session.

Kane later disclosed that the visit delivered a considerable lift to squad spirits.

"He just wished us luck. After most games, he messages me and we stay in touch," Kane revealed. "He's obviously a big England fan. We know how much it meant for him to play for England and be captain. He was there to support us."

He continued: "We were obviously using his home, the home he's built, so we appreciate him doing that for us. Ultimately, it was good to catch up with him and for the other lads to have a chat with him. He is an English legend, he was wishing us well and hopefully we can do him proud tomorrow."

Beckham, who collected 115 caps for England during a playing career that took him to Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain, captained the national team for six years and remains one of English football's most celebrated figures.

He has been seen at numerous occasions throughout this summer's World Cup, keeping a watchful eye on England's advancement as Thomas Tuchel's squad chased a third successive quarter-final appearance. England are set to face Norway in Saturday's match, with the aim of securing a semi-final berth for the first time under the existing tournament format.

The winners will advance to face either Argentina or Switzerland in the World Cup semi-finals, while heavyweights France and Spain makeup the other half of the draw.
