Former EastEnders star Joshua Pascoe has spoken out in his first interview in 12 years, revealing how he swapped soap fame for adult content after stepping away from acting completely.
Joshua, who played Ben Mitchell on the BBC soap from 2010 to 2012, was at the centre of one of EastEnders most controversial storylines when his character killed Heather Trott, played by Cheryl Fergison.
The shocking plot saw Ben later sent to prison for the crime, with Joshua previously describing his exit as a double edged sword saying he felt proud to be part of such a huge storyline, but devastated to leave the show at just 16.
After leaving Albert Square as a teenager, Joshua took on a handful of smaller acting roles, but says work gradually dried up as he moved into adulthood. Eventually, he walked away from acting altogether and began working on building sites to make a living outside of the spotlight.
Now, 12 years on from his last interview, the former soap star has reinvented himself in a completely different world adult content platform Only Fans where he says he is now happier than ever.
He added that his post-soap career took an unexpected turn after leaving acting behind.
After EastEnders, the acting slowly dried up and I went to work on a building site instead, he explained. Then my friends suggested I start the adult work and within the first month I was in double figures. I get funny looks sometimes but no ones asked me about it at work yet.
Joshua also revealed some of the unusual requests hes received since joining the platform.
The market for blokes feet is mad... when I first got speaking to people they were like, Can we see a picture of your feet? he said.
There are so many different kinks and since starting this, Ive realised Im not as vanilla as I thought.
Despite his unconventional new career path, Joshua says he feels more content than ever, insisting this chapter of his life is a world away from the pressures of his childhood soap fame.
Speaking about life now, he added: Ive been out of the acting world for years now. Ive just got a normal job, Im a normal bloke. Ive got a nine to five, Monday to Friday. Im humble theres nothing flashy or lairy about me, I hope.
He continued: Im just a normal guy, but people have been really interested, which has baffled me. Theyve taken an interest and they like talking, they like finding out what youre up to, what youve got in the pipeline.
And its been pretty amazing. I never ever thought, I never ever imagined that it would take off the way it has done. And I couldn't be happier.
