Former Made in Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo has bravely spoken out about her fertility journey

Georgia Toffolo fought back tears as she opened up about her battle to conceive in a heartfelt post.

The former I'm a Celeb star, 31, admitted she was torn about whether to even discuss her fertility journey with husband James Watt, 43, the ex-Brewdog CEO she wed four years ago. Revealing that the couple, who got hitched at an extravagant Scottish ceremony, had been attempting to start a family for five months, Georgia shared a raw update on Instagram.

Dressed in a sleek black blouse and trying not to cry, she explained: "My gut has been telling me to share this, but my head has been saying no. Oh my God, I don't know why I'm gonna get upset."

Georgia Toff says she's been trying for a baby for 5 months

Acknowledging there was something she'd been "like, really hiding", she went on, according to the Mirror : "Something that I've been, like, really hiding. My husband and I have been trying for a baby.

"It hasn't happened on month one, month two, three, four, five. According to all the amazing doctors, that is completely normal. Who knew?

"You only ever hear the story of get pregnant on the first try, or the second try, or it was an accident, or we've been trying for a very long time and it hasn't happened for us." Confessing she felt "lonely" and yearned for more openness about the challenges of conception, she added: "We are in that really weird space; I just wish someone like me had come on and spoken about it.

"I am in the two-week wait before every single symptom, or boobs, cramps in your lower tummy, they are all suggestive of two things. Number one, that you're pregnant, two, that your period is on the way.

"And these are two entirely different outcomes. It is quite lonely." Georgia confessed she had previously been taking her pregnancy tests in isolation, but was now doing them alongside James, who had been introduced to the reality star through mutual pals on a blind date.

She revealed: "The craziness that I have been allowing myself to be is just not healthy. One thing I really wish I hadn't done, I kept doing the pregnancy test every month on my own, and I didn't think that was a weird thing until James walked in and was like, what are you doing? He was like: 'Babe, you need to stop doing that on your own'.

Emphasising that the pair were "not struggling with infertility", Georgia ended: "We are doing this together. That shift for me has been so amazing, I can actually cry at the relief.

And like the thing is, I really mean this, we are not struggling with infertility, we are two incredibly fortunate people. We are just at that weird in-between stage.
