GTA6 first look lands on Netflix but millions will miss out for one huge reason

An extended look at Grand Theft Auto 6 will be dropping on Netflix very soon, but many Rockstar fans won't get the opportunity to watch for one major obstacle

Grand Theft Auto 6 is right around the corner and a brand new update has just been released. Rockstar Games tweeted: "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on @netflix Thursday, August 27 at 3 p.m. ET. http://netflix.com/GTAVI Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will also launch on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI site at 9 p.m. ET on August 27."

You must have a Netflix subscription to watch the release, meaning that a massive number of gamers will not have the chance to watch if they don't sign up. Gamers are famously sick and tired of waiting for the sixth instalment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, as the release date has repeatedly been moved over the last few years.

Down in the comments of the YouTube video, one person tweeted: "We're gonna get another GTA 6 Extended Gameplay Look Extended (Delay) on the 26th."

Someone else said: "Rockstar after announcing an announcement for an announcement," while another added: "Honestly you can't be mad at them it's kinda hilarious at this point."

Another tweet said: "Bro, GTA6 Netflix trailer before GTA6."

VP of Nonfiction Series Brandon Riegg said: "Grand Theft Auto reveals have become cultural moments in their own right."

"The anticipation and fandom around Grand Theft Auto VI is unprecedented, and were honoured that Rockstar Games has partnered with us to debut the next part of the Grand Theft Auto story with Netflix members first."

The upcoming game's description reads: "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them."
