Actress Hayden Panettiere has sadly died at the age of 36, with her father, Skip Panettiere, officially confirming her death in a statement released to the press on Sunday (August 16). Her dad described the Nashville and Heroes star as "an incredible light and a force of nature" and asked for the family's privacy to be respected. Hayden's untimely death occurred just days before what would have been her 37th birthday. The cause of death has not yet been revealed or confirmed.

Fans of the Hollywood actress have now said she's 'with her little brother' following her sudden passing, sharing photos of the siblings together.

Hayden Panettiere's younger brother, Jansen Panettiere, died unexpectedly from an undiagnosed heart condition. He passed away suddenly on February 19, 2023, in New York City at the tender age of 28.

The Medical Examiner concluded that his abrupt death was due to cardiomegaly (an enlarged heart) along with complications from the aortic valve.

Following the medical examiner's report, Hayden, alongside her parents, Skip Panettiere and Lesley Vogel, issued a joint statement to ABC News.

They expressed that while the medical explanation provided little comfort, they chose to remember his enormous spirit, noting that "Jansen's heart could be seen in his eyes, and his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile".

Jansen was Hayden's only sibling, and she spoke openly about the profound grief she felt over his loss.

In a chat with People magazine, she revealed that his loss felt like losing "half of my soul," highlighting that the severe trauma and stress led her to temporarily grapple with agoraphobia an anxiety disorder where an individual fears and avoids places or situations that might trigger panic.

She shot to global stardom playing the superpower-healing cheerleader, Claire Bennet in NBC superhero drama series Heroes, which aired from 2006 to 2010.

Hayden also bagged two Golden Globe nominations for her portrayal of troubled country star Juliette Barnes in the drama series Nashville.

She also portrayed the much-loved character Kirby Reed in multiple instalments of the Scream franchise, including Scream VI.
