Hayden Panettiere's haunting final post before tragic death as she celebrated 'good times'

Hayden Panettiere has died after releasing her memoir back in May, which recounted the horrors she faced as a teenage star in Hollywood, with tributes being shared

Actress Hayden Panettiere, star of Heroes and Scream 4 and Scream VI, has died at 36. Her final Instagram post, shared just a few weeks ago, showed her celebrating 'good times' with her friends.

Her death was confirmed by a rep, who shared the statement: "It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her and to the millions who watched her onscreen."

Over the past few months Panettiere had been active on social media, sharing photos and videos from her book tour promoting her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, which was published May 19.

Panettiere's final Instagram was a black and white shot of her cuddling up to a photographer smiling with her tongue out. The photographer, Randall Slavin, had his arm around her shoulder.

The post was captioned: "Good times and good friends".

After the death, Slavin paid tribute on his Instagram Stories, sharing the stars post and writing: "Peace be with you, H".

The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear. Panettiere recounted a tough career and recently came back into the spotlight after her memoir release.

In her book, the mum-of-one opens up on some of her experiences navigating Hollywood as a teenage star.

The Scream actress recounts an incident in which an Oscar-winning actor allegedly exposed himself to her at a party, as well as a disturbing episode aboard a yacht where a trusted, unnamed friend placed her in bed next to a 'very famous' naked man.

Panettiere also opened up about her struggles with mental health, the loss of her younger brother, Jansen, and her decision to give full custody of her daughter to her former partner, Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko.

She told podcaster Jay Shetty back in May that the custody decision was very difficult. She said: "The idea that anyone would think that I would just give away my child and be okay with it is heartbreaking and couldnt be further from the truth.

"I was struggling with mental health and anxiety and the postpartum and having to act my way through it and just feeling like I completely lost myself."
