Holly Willoughby feared she'd poo herself on This Morning after mortifying error

Former This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby admitted she feared the worst after being left with no choice but to try uncooked food live on the show

Holly Willoughby has admitted she feared she would have an accident live on This Morning after a cooking blunder left her eating raw chicken on air. In the latest episode of her YouTube channel, Holly Willoughby Together, the 45-year-old reflected on the awkward moment while sharing her mum's chicken Caesar salad recipe.

During the demonstration, she was asked whether she had ever eaten "questionable chicken" live on television. "It definitely happened," she told a member of her team, who was off-camera.

"Very, very, rarely did that happen, but I remember there was one time and we were up against the clock and I actually genuinely can't remember who it was, but somebody was cooking chicken and as they served it on the plate and they flipped it over, I saw that it's raw," she recalled.

At the time, Holly said she didn't know what to do when the chef prompted her to try the dish.

"I was just like, Oh god what do I do? And I just ate it, I thought I just have to, there's nothing you can do," she continued.

"Thankfully it was the last item of the show because I just thought, if this is the beginning of the show, am I going to s**t myself live on tele? [It was] a bit touch and go but, thankfully, it was the last item, but yeah I just kind of had to [eat it]."

Thankfully, Holly said she didn't become ill after eating the raw chicken, or from any of the other food she tried on the show.

Staying on the subject of cooking disasters, the mother-of-three also admitted she once gave her children food poisoning.

"I've given my kids food poisoning from uncooked stuff, yeah," she shared. "Do you know what it was? It was when air fryers first came out and they were like, 'Oh, you can cook a chicken in like 10 minutes' and you can't.

"So, I definitely did to begin with, so I'm always quite wary of that."

In a previous episode of her show, the presenter opened up about another blunder that left her "mortified" - this time involving a fashion mishap.

She explained that while presenting an episode of ITVs Ministry of Mayhem in 2004, her top came loose as she danced during a segment involving boyband Blue, leaving her left boob swinging.

After the programme went to an advert break, she asked producers whether they had noticed the wardrobe malfunction. She recalled them telling her: "'Were not going to lie to you. We did see it'. And then The Sun put me on Page 3 the next day. So Ive been a Page 3 girl with my boob out, she added.
