EXCLUSIVE: DJ Korolova, real name Olga Korolova, has spoken exclusively to Daily Star about her latest show which brought strangers together to "show up as their true selves"

Korolova headlined the "incredible" event to help party people connect

Velo and Tomorrowland "celebrated self-expression" with Echoes of Tomorrowland in Ibiza, an event headlined by DJ Korolova and livestreamed from the festival's main stage.

Fans, creators, media and more flew in from all corners of the globe to dance together and celebrate life. The event comes after global research found that two in five adults find building meaningful connections tougher as they get older, so Velo and Tomorrowland are trying to break down these barriers by bringing music lovers together on the dancefloor.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star, the event's headliner Korolova - who was beaming from ear to ear as she recalled performing at the special event - spoke to us about what the whole premise means to her. She said: "It was really incredible, I really liked the location. It was such a great atmosphere, people were speaking with each other, we had such a great time."

"For me, it means a time when you enjoy the music, the people, everything is together. It's not only for people who love the music, it's for people who like to enjoy something unique. A unique experience, all together, for me and for other people as well!"

Korolova also said: "The dancefloor is one of the few places where people feel completely free to express who they are without judgment."

"That's the energy I felt throughout the night in Ibiza, thanks to Velo - it was incredible to watch everyone let go, show up as their true selves, and celebrate their originality together."

The techno DJ told us that one of the craziest moments of her career so far was when she debuted at Tomorrowland for the first time on the main stage.

Korolova has played on four different Tomorrowland stages over the years and expressed that she is always "so grateful" to be a part of the production.
