Katie Price might be preoccupied with the recent reported arrest of her husband Lee Andrews, but she is not far off promoting her latest career move.
The former glamour model will appear in the upcoming comedy Jackie the Stripper. The film, which also includes Harry Potter star James Phelps and Liam Gallagher's ex Patsy Kensit, follows Jackie and her band of female vigilante assassins hatch a plan to kill six members of the evil male dominated court.
Katie is set to take the role of Lisa, an 'old school Jackie' in the film. Director Michael Head, famed for his previous work on The Last Heist, told the Daily Star: "We have been overwhelmed to the response of Jackie which has taken a life of its own".
As for its success, Katie Price's latest role is looking good. Head added: "We can not reveal too much at this stage but what started as a tongue in cheek grind house b movie has been picked up for international distribution by an Emmy winning and academy award nominated company and set to hit cinemas worldwide.
"I was very blessed to work with such a great cast. Ive previously worked with patsy Kensit, Kimberly Wyatt and James phelps so to have them involved was amazing. To also get a chance to work with Jamie lomas for the first time was great, Jamie is lovely and watching him bring the ripper to life was awe inspiring."
As for Katie, Head sang her praises.
"There has also been a lot of attention around Katie Price who was a late addition to the cast, Katie was a pleasure to work with and has been very well received at the Berline Film Festival (EFM). Again I cant say too much but I am looking forward to working with Katie again not just in the Jackie franchise but in other films also.
"Everyone knows of Katie Price as a personality and I believe there is a lot to come from Katie as an actor and cant wait to work with her again".
Jackie could even be going overseas, with the director and writer revealing: "It has already sold to some international territories for both theatrical and home release.
"The interest and attention has been overwhelming and I cant say too much but I'll be sitting down with the team to discuss what's next so watch this space".
