Jackass stars left with 'broken face' and ruptured testicle in show's nastiest injuries

If youre a fan of gross-out stunt series Jackass, you must have a pretty strong stomach. Lets see how far we can push that, shall we?

The lovable lunatics of Jackass are back at the cinema this week in new movie Jackass: Best and Last. Theyll be gritting their teeth through a final batch of stunts to mark 25 years of the franchise.

Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and the gang have been putting themselves in horrible danger for kicks since October 2000. Here is a look at some of their most memorable moments

The whole tooth: Back in 2010, cast member Ehren McGhehey decided to pull out a tooth by tying it to the back of a Lamborghini with fishing line. But things soon went wrong when the sports car sped off, shattering his facial bones right up to his eye. It took him nine months to recover, following a bone graft.

Balls up

Ehren left the set in an ambulance again in 2022, when he suffered a ruptured right testicle while filming a cup test stunt. It saw him take hits to the groin to check the strength of an athletic cup.

Sadly, his groin guard soon gave up the ghost when castmate Dave England started jumping on it with a pogo stick.

A load of bull

When Johnny Knoxville took on a raging bull in Jackass Forever (2022), it would leave him with permanent scars. The beast flipped him into the air so he landed on his head, causing a concussion and brain haemorrhage, along with wrist and rib fractures. Doctors have since told him he cannot take any more hits to the head, he says.

Smooth operator

Ryan Dunn came close to the nastiest possible death when he dived into a septic tank on Jackass in 2000. He went for a swim in flippers and a snorkel, fighting his way through the current after castmate Bam Margera let go of his safety rope.

Soon afterwards he learned there were rotating blades at the bottom of the tank and hed actually been inches from becoming a poop smoothie.

Crazy horse

Ryan then suffered a life-threatening blood clot, following a 2006 stunt that saw him pulled off his feet by a running horse. He was slammed onto his shoulder, causing serious muscle injuries.

He took a four-year break from the show while he recovered, returning just before his tragic death in a 2011 car crash.

Playing with fire

Jackass star Steve-O famously suffered some of the shows most gruesome injuries. But according to him, the worst of all took place on his own 2017 comedy special.

He was trying to make fire angels an alternative to snow angels when he covered his body in rocket engine fuel and set it alight. I suffered third degree burns on 15% of my body and needed skin graft surgery, he says.
