Former glamour model Katie Price confessed she was almost Playboy founder Hugh Hefner's girlfriend and even lived at the famous mansion. The 47-year-old previously shared a post on Instagram showing her followers a book marking the American magazine's golden 50th anniversary.
Katie flicked through the pages to reveal a sprawling montage of various models who had graced the publication's cover over the decades. Noting that few British women had featured on the front of the iconic American title, she proudly displayed her own 2000 cover shot, describing it as an "achievement".
But she then moved to defend the late Hugh Hefner after former models had stepped forward with serious accusations against him.
Katie declared: "All the stories that come out about Hugh Hefner, I have to disagree because I lived at the Playboy Mansion for six weeks. I lived and breathed there.
"He asked me to be a girlfriend and all of that, I've got millions of photos from all of our nights out.
"I have to say, the stories that I've read that girls have said about Hugh Hefner I definitely didn't witness and I can say were not true at all."
The mother-of-five then reshared a clip from former Love Island contestant and model Hannah Elizabeth, who had backed Katie's stance on her own social media story.
Hannah expressed her agreement with Katie about the stories concerning Hugh, who was affectionately known as Hef.
She revealed to her followers that she was a regular visitor to the Playboy Mansion annually and hadn't observed any of the behaviour being alleged.
Hannah said: "I was one of Hef's painted ladies and all these stories coming out about Playboy are untrue and I did not witness any of that at my time in the mansion."
Since Hugh's death in 2017, numerous women who previously lived at the Playboy mansion have levelled serious accusations against the magazine's founder, including his former girlfriend Holly Madison.
