Kelvin Fletcher reveals 'exciting' news as 'simple desire' statement made

ITV bosses have renewed Kelvin Fletcher's hit reality show Fletchers' Family Farm for two more series after racking up 6.3 million streams on ITVX

Kelvin and Liz Fletcher have expressed their delight after it was announced that their popular reality programme, Fletchers' Family Farm, will return for additional series.

ITV has ordered two further runs of the beloved show following its remarkable performance, which has racked up 6.3 million streams on ITVX so far this year.

Series five and six of the programme, which chronicles former Emmerdale actor and novice farmer Kelvin Fletcher alongside his family, have been greenlit after the fourth series proved hugely popular, with the finale drawing an average of one million viewers - making it the most-watched daytime episode to date.

The series - which broadcasts in both Sunday morning and Monday evening slots - is filmed at the Fletchers' 120-acre Peak District farm and captures a blend of daily life as they tackle the ups and downs of family living, progressing from complete beginners to mastering the tough work, compromises and agricultural risks they undertake to achieve the lifestyle they've always envisioned, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The daytime broadcast of the show represents ITV's top-performing programme in the 11.30am to 12.30pm Sunday slot this decade, and the fresh commissions will ensure the successful series continues well into 2027.

Kelvin and Liz said in a statement: "We're delighted to be returning for series five and six. What started as a simple desire to share our family's journey has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

"We'd like to thank ITV for their continued support and belief in the series and Daisybeck Studios for creating such a true account of our lives. As we enter this next chapter we're also proud that Fletcher Studios will be joining Daisybeck as a co-production partner on the series. It's an exciting step for us creatively."
