Laura Hamilton addresses weight loss after being branded 'short, fat and stumpy'

A Place In The Sun presenter Laura Hamilton has opened up about her recent weight loss journey with her loyal legion of fans as she begged them not to "jump to conclusions"

Laura Hamilton has addressed a series of weight loss rumours as she soaks up the sun in Croatia.

The A Place In The Sun star, 42, has been making the most of the glorious weather overseas over the past few weeks, posing up a storm in a series of plunging bikinis and lavish dresses. Its no surprise that her loyal legion of fans have been showering her with compliments online.

But on Thursday (August 8), the TV presenter decided to speak directly to her followers after she noticed some concerning comments on her posts. Updating her followers on her latest travels, she explained: So you will see on my stories or on my grid posts that I have been in Paris, Montenegro and I am now in Croatia.

Its sunny, theres so many amazing photo opportunities and I have had a few comments on my grid posts so thank you so much. Ive also read a few comments about weight loss.

It was at this point that the mum-of-two revealed that she has been following a new weight loss regime. She revealed: Yes, I have lost weight. Ive been following a healthy weight loss programme.

Ive also been reading a few comments saying that Ive been using weight loss injections. Nothing against anyone who has been using weight loss injections, but I havent been using them.

And I really feel like people shouldnt just jump to conclusions and make presumptions about anything. Laura then sat down and revealed that she has previously been branded being short, fat and stumpy.

The Channel 4 property expert candidly explained: Ive actually been someone thats been criticised for being short, fat and stumpy. Im only 5ft 2 so Ive been told I've got fat legs and now I'm getting told I'm too skinny.

So, I feel like if you dont have anything positive to say, its probably best not to say anything at all and dont jump to conclusions. Anyway, rant over. Im going to get back to my beautiful place.

It comes after Laura has reportedly found love with a businessman following her split from her ex-husband Alex Goward in 2022. Laura and Alex share two children, Rocco, 10, and Tahlia, eight.

It has been reported that the starlet is in a relationship with James Pettigrew, 44, who is separated from his estranged wife. Its also alleged James wife Jackie was upset as she had been unaware James has moved on.

A source told MailOnline: Laura has been dating James since January and they spend all their time together. While Laura has been single since splitting from her ex-husband, James is still married, and their relationship has caused his estranged wife Jackie a lot of hurt and upset.

She was unaware of their romance in the early days and is now going through a painful divorce, with her priority being to protect her two daughters. Laura and James have made every attempt to keep their relationship private but its been months and theyre so close now, they are fully committed to each other and making this work long-term.
