Channel 4 broadcaster Laura Hamilton has shut down trolls cruel comments about her body for good as she returns to the dating scene following her split in 2022

A Place in the Sun star Laura Hamilton insisted shes happy and secure as she shuts down cruel trolls.

The 42-year-old TV presenter travels the world for work and regularly shares glamorous snaps in her bikini in various sun-drenched locations. The mum-of-two regularly shows off her rock-hard abs and curvaceous figure in her sizzling snaps to her 200,000 fans on Instagram.

Although the majority of her followers shower her with compliments online, some leave nasty comments claiming shes had work done in the past. The Channel 4 broadcaster has been accused of having a boob job and tweakments done to her face both of which she denies.

Speaking to The Sun, Laura has addressed the cruel comments directly. She told the outlet: Its hard when you read comments like, Oh, shes done too much of this to her face.

And I think, these are my cheekbones. Ive done nothing to my cheekbones. Thats my face. Or people say, Oh, shes got fake boobs. And Im like, I havent actually. But if thats what people want to believe.

The broadcaster told the outlet called it laughable that people make such statements without knowing any facts. But she insisted that as shes got older, she feels more happy in myself and secure in myself and who I am after years of struggling with her confidence.

She added: You will always get criticism from somebody. Theyre not liking you, or theyll mention that youve got big boobs, small boobs, big legs, fat legs, short legs, long legs... you can never please everybody.

The only person that youve really got to please and worry about is yourself. And as long as youre happy with yourself that should really be all that matters.

Those that are really close to me, that know me for me, my mum, dad and children. Im very lucky that Ive got a close group of very supportive friends who accept and love each other for who we are, and they know the truth. And that really is the most important thing.

Laura, who shares son Rocco, 10 and nine-year-old daughter Tahlia with her ex-husband Alex Goward, 43, has since revealed she is dating again. Back in August, Laura told Fabulous Magazine: Im dating. Im having fun. No, I dont have the apps.

Ive tried those in the past three years. I went on Raya and thought, This is not for me. I like to meet people organically. It has since been reported that she has found a new love interest, CEO James Pettigrew.

The pair are believed to have been dating since January, although at the moment the 44-year-old hunk is still married, but is in the process of divorcing his wife. Last week, the pair were spotted cuddling up together during a romantic trip to Spain.
