Comedy legend Jimmy Cricket is set to make fans laugh from beyond the grave - with the release of a book of new jokes following his death.
The telly funnyman, known for his wellies, wacky hat and catchphrase theres more, was penning a new collection of crackers when he fell ill.
Right up to his death aged 80 last week he was still firing off one-liners to the NHS nurses caring for him. And his legacy is set to continue as there really is more.
The book he was writing - 200 Monday Morning Jokes - is set to be released in time for Christmas. A personal message penned by the comic on his website reads: Coming soon this Christmas 2026, as an ideal stocking filler, is my Monday Morning Joke Book - those I wrote and shared with my friends on social media to cheer those on their first day back at work after the weekend break.
The website told Jimmys legion of fans: We thought you should know about this ideal stocking filler from Jimmy Cricket.
The Northern Irish comedian is publishing a book of jokes which he compiled during and after the Covid pandemic.
It is entitled 200 Monday Morning Jokes and the plan is for it to be released in time for Christmas 2026.
It said Jimmy, who had taken a break from work as his health failed, had originally written and shared the jokes with his social media followers.
Jimmys youngest son Father Frankie Mulgrew - a former comic who became a priest - said his dad had even asked for the last rites twice almost like he asked for an encore.
The comedian, whose real name was James Mulgrew, was like a light who loved making people laugh, Frankie added.
The dad-of-fours death sparked an outpouring of grief from the entertainment world.
Comedian Tim Vine described the former Butlins Redcoat who left school at 16 as a lovely, inspiring, funny man.
While comic and TV show host Ted Robbins referenced Jimmys catchphrase in a post on X.
He said: I worked with him many times & he was one of the Last Great Comics a unique style, never blue - just funny.
I know he and all his family have a great Christian Faith so maybe The Angels will be saying Come here Jimmy theres more!
Announcing his death in a statement on the website Jimmys family said: We were going to end by using his famous catchphrase and say, Theres no More.
But Jimmy was a man of great faith and a Papal Knight of the Catholic Church.
He believed that death is not the end and was looking forward to eternity.
So reallyand theres more.
