Oasis 'to perform at least 18 UK gigs' in 2027 as Liam Gallagher drops bombshell tweet

Oasis are tipped to head out on tour next year with a 12-night residency at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, and Liam admits "there's definitely something going on"

Oasis are reportedly set to play at least 18 concerts in the UK in 2027 - following the huge success of last year's tour.

It's believed the band's rumoured tour will include a 12-night residency at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester - and a record-breaking six concerts at Knebworth. It's also said that the Britpop titans will play shows in Europe, in places such as Paris and Rome.

An insider told The Sun "Oasis schedule is booked. Its 12 nights at the Etihad in June over six weeks. They will then play Knebworth six times over a three-week period in September. Dates could be added but for now thats the master plan."

A source added: "Noel and Liam always planned for the tour to have a second run. There were discussions about announcing [it] during the World Cup because of the connection between Wonderwall and the Three Lions in this tournament."

Liam himself all but confirmed the tour news on X, formerly Twitter. He told fans: "Look there's definitely something going on I can't tell you exactly for security reasons hope you'll understand."

He added: "We will announce when the time is righteous." The frontman also suggested the tour would be anything but a "farewell tour". Liam added: "Its the opposite of a farewell tour it's more like who f****** wants kinda of a tour", later clarifying: "WHO F****** WANTS IT KIND OFF A TOUR."

There are also whispers of Oasis preparing new material to accompany the dates, with five songs rumoured to have been recorded in London recently.

Oasis played two iconic concerts at Knebworth back in 1996, and Liam went on to perform two solo shows there in 2022. If the band play six dates at Knebworth next year, it will be the most times an act has done so.

An insider previously told Manchester Evening News of the tour: "It will be 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June. It's just massive for Manchester and for the local economy. They could even add more dates to that as well, there's talk of up to 20. The wider tour is also going to include a return to Knebworth."

When asked back in 2025 that the tour was ending soon, he replied: "Im not actually, as I know things you dont know."

The band's hit Wonderwall has become England's unoffical anthem during the World Cup, with players belting out the track with fans after their games. Noel himself has supported this.
