Becoming a heavy metal singer seems to have gone to William Shatner's head after he made a series of extravagant demands before playing his first festival.
The Star Trek legend is beaming his newly-conceived rock spectacle into festivals this summer including Chicago's Riot Fest in September where he will debut the project - dubbed The ****ers - featuring members of Ozzy Osbourne's band, Vixen and more.
Ahead of the gig the 95-year-old said: "I want to start acting like the Heavy Metal God that I am", so has made a few demands including that the city of Chicago to provide a boat renamed after him (so that he can captain a ship again), an appearance on local TV co-anchoring the weather plus the opportunity to sing sporting tune, Take Me Out To The Ball Game at a Chicago baseball game.
It doesn't end there as the Captain Kirk star listed more demands on his instagram account including a DeLorean car - like the Back To The Future one -to transport him to the stage instead of a golf cart, plus organisers must deliver an intro video created by GWAR and fire breathers. Many of them.
Backstage Shatner is after a dressing room themed as Shatners Shag Shack which must contain four feet of Polish sausage, sauerkraut "ready to eat".
He also wants eight pallets of the drink Faygo, an assortment of adoptable puppies and a bouquet of flowers "something dainty".
The sci-fi icon keeps going and he'd also like a Montreal Canadiens hockey sweater signed by actor John Stamos plus a tube of socks and pants.
He signed off with: "You have a couple of months here to get this together. I know Chicagoans can make me happy. Live Long and Rock On."
Shatner, who has also recorded an LP of metal tunes, said recently of his new direction: "I've always believed that music, like space, is about exploration.
"Riot Fest is exactly the kind of place where anything can happen. We're bringing volume, intensity, and a few surprises. With this incredible band behind me, I expect nothing less than lift-off. I can't wait to share this experience with the fans."
Also on the bill are Iggy Pop, Public Image Ltd. and Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter.
Somebody bring him to Glastonbury next year!
